Heritage Capital UK (HC) is creating a new and distinct function within the Banque Heritage network. Drawing on the expertise of its two founders, HC is establishing a business that will eventually extend the reach of the banks wealth management platform across Europe and into new markets such as Central Europe and Asia, developing additional products for deployment both across its own network and through all of the Banque Heritage offices and subsidiaries.
HC will also work extensively in the capital markets, initially distributing listed securities and in due course underwriting paper from its London base, thereby delivering better allocations and prices for the benefit of all Banque Heritage clients. HC will also focus on seeding thematic funds on the alternative investment side, with a special interest in the prospects for new emerging economies.
The significant institutional experience of its team combined with the flexibility and speed of a low overhead business, makes this hybrid organisation of particular value to mid size client transactions: a growing sector of the market which does not attract a high level of indivualised or open architecture coverage from larger institutions. HC is configured to provide this level of service, extending the ethos and platform efficiencies of Banque Heritage, while addressing new and mutually beneficial markets.

Joe Dryer Founding Director Originally on course for a career in international politics, Joes education at Georgetown University and the London School of Economics prompted him to set his sights on global finance instead. Starting his career in New York, after three years Joe came to London and joined Hambros Bank, before moving on to Paribas, where he headed up Debt Capital Markets. At the turn of the century he joined Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, where during his six years he held a number of increasingly senior roles. Joe was a member of the Dresdner Kleinwort Executive Committee and acted as Co-Head of Corporate Finance and Origination, responsible for the firms debt and equity origination. As one of the founders of Heritage Capital UK, Joe represents a potent combination of entrepreneurial vigour, and, with 23 years in the City of London, significant institutional experience.

Peter Horbye Founding Director A Norwegian, raised in Spain and South America, Peters cosmopolitan background led him to study Economics and Spanish at the University of Oregon, which he complemented with an MBA from Thunderbird Arizona, before starting work with Lehman Brothers in international Capital Markets in 1981. Moving to the capital markets division of Prudential he managed fixed income sales throughout continental Europe, and then set out with like-minded colleagues to design and establish an early hedge fund in 1991. From there he went on to work in private equity, specialising in IT and healthcare in the Australasian markets where he successfully exited a number of investments via trade sales or IPOs. In 2002 Peter joined his Family Office where he oversaw fixed income, equity, real estate and art trading. Combining forces with Joe to create Heritage Capital UK forms a natural extension of his accumulated experience and skills.
